The Season Premier of Simpsons Gets Done By Seth Rogen
Seth Rogen and his writing partner, Evan Goldberg has got the job of their lives, to write for the Simpsons.

Welcoming the 21st season of The Simpsons, Seth Rogen exclaimed, “I can die a happy man.” It has only been done once before, in 2006, by comedian Ricky Gervais and that is to co-write and voice a character of The Simpsons. Now, it will be repeated again by Rogen.
The superhero character of Everyman”, created by Rogen and partner Evan Goldber, is inspired by Rogen’s preparation to play “The Green Hornet” which is in production now for 2010 release. In the episode, Everyman is created by the Comic Book Guy, who has a unique ability to acquire the superpower of any superhero by just touching their comics, and it became such a success that a film is produced with Homer in the title role. The voice of the character, who trains Homer for the role of Everyman in the movie, has been given by Rogen.
Rogen and his partner were both big fans of The Simpsons and when they heard that the show’s executive producer, James L. Brooks liked “Superbad” too, they knew they had the opportunity to write a gig for the show.
“We knew Ricky Gervais had written an episode. We thought if he got to write one, maybe we could try,” said Rogen, who is one-half of the only outside celebrities to have the opportunity to write episodes for the show.

“Doing a voice was a bonus,” he continues. “In one scene, it’s just me and Dan Castellaneta talking to each other. All I could think of was, ‘I’m acting with Homer right now.’ It was the most surreal, amazing experience.”
“Recording with the cast was one of the highlights of my life. It was completely surreal. I was just in shock afterward. I felt like I had gone skydiving or survived an earthquake,” Rogen said.
Sarah Silverman, Angela Bassett, Jonah Hill, Eli Manning and Bob Costas are the other celebrities in line to work on new episodes of “The Simpsons”.
