Lisa Simpson (The Simpsons)
Lisa is the middle child of the Simpson household and extremely intelligent girl. She is unlike normal children for she acts much grown up for her age. For instance, she is a vegetarian, and her political convictions are generally socially liberal. She is into defending animal rights and environment and also loves jazz music. She plays a saxophone Homer bought her. She loves reading and studying that’s why she always finds herself alone and friendless.

Bart’s best friend Milhouse has always had a crush on Lisa, but she just isn’t interested in him. She always struggles to be a voice of reason and a force of good in the family. Lisa received a special “Board of Directors Ongoing Commitment Award” at the Environmental Media Award in 2001. The episode “Lisa the Vegetarian” also won her an Environmental Media Award for Best Television Episodic Comedy and a Genesis Award for Best Television Comedy Series, Ongoing Commitment.
Yeardley Smith is the voice behind Lisa Simpson. She has appeared in the sitcom Dharma & Greg, and also in the film As Good As It Gets. She received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice Over Performance in 1992.
