Homer Simpson (The Simpsons)
Homer Simpson is the patriarch of the Simpson family, and is a typical American working class stereotype: lazy, overweight, thoughtless and a borderline alcoholic. He is supremely confident in everything he does, even if he has more consistent period of ignorance. Although he almost always upsets his family with his antics, he is also portrayed to be a surprisingly caring husband and father. He sometimes surprises his family with act that shows he cares and loves them. He is devoted and protective of his family despite his shortcomings.

Homer works for the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. His marriage to Marge is strained but somewhat happy and faithful. He loves his children deeply though he is sometimes shown not to have the best of relationship with them. He seems to have a love hate relationship with his eldest son Bart, a fairly good bonding with Lisa, although she sometimes tires of his father’s ignorance, and sometimes, he forgets that Maggie even exists.
Dan Castellaneta is the voice behind Homer Simpson. Dan is a voice artist, comedian, singer and a television writer. He has won over four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Voice-Over Performances for his work with The Simpsons.
