Another Musically Memorable Episode of “The Simpsons”
A few of the most momentous episodes (including “Oh Streetcar” and “The Monorail Song”) of “The Simpsons” have involved elements of music. The October 18 broadcast was no different as it added yet another entry into this animation show’s list of musical moments.

“Treehouse of Horror” – the annual Halloween special – featured a take on Sweeney Todd, the musical made popular by Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. “There’s No Business Like Moe Business” – the third segment of the show – focused on the stage enactment of a musical featuring Homer Simpson’s death as well as a Moe’s Tavern special microbrew. In a remarkably short period of time, the segment managed to refer to (and take digs at) behavioral issues of audience at large, The Phantom of the Opera and people of a homophobic nature.
